Progress of engineering and technology, which culminates in modern conditions, inevitably changes the basic settings of the educational process. This change is primarily manifested through the dematerialization of the school as an institution and its translation into a virtual space. This fact brings a number of side effects that are shaping the educational system today. This paper identifies key technology trends that are modeling modern educational system, as well as technologies that have the highest potential for their application in education. In addition, this study identifies technology factors that will influence on organisation and implementation of educational process.
